Three Brothers to Blacks Ladders route follows a ledge 200m above the Megalong Valley
Three Brothers to Blacks Ladders route follows a ledge 200m above the Megalong Valley. It has little exposure, requires a degree of good route finding ability and a willingness to fight through little travelled undergrowth.
I wasn’t expecting to come across anyone else on such a rough track. However, I did come across a fellow Mountains resident - Col, and Owen who was up from Sydney for the day. They took an earlier exit very close to Back Creek. We met again at a cliff top lookout.
Route
I chose to start at Delmonte Avenue in Medlow Bath and head down the rough 4WD track to the Three Brothers. After the recent rains, the track was mostly flowing puddles. After a quick stop at the Three Brothers lookout, I retraced my steps for 50m. And followed the indistinct track down the gully keeping the non-photogenic Brothers on my right.
